The new Hypermotard 939 is a stunning looking bike that is also a joy to ride. 

The original dirtbike-inspired look is even more daring thanks to high ground clearance, a high and tapered tail, and narrow sides. These are the design elements that characterise the Hypermotard and which have been created for a motorbike that can be used for urban commuting, touring or for a thrilling day-out on the track.

In its hand protectors, more typically fitted to off-road models, the new Hypermotard 939 integrates LED turn signals in order to blend in perfectly with the model's clean design and the need to use it in the city. The attention paid to the flow of the lines has allowed an essential and minimalist image of this family, despite the bikes' complex water-cooled engine and thoroughly modern technology.

The new Hypermotard 939 family therefore stands out because of its proportions, ergonomics and practicality, besides being equipped with the latest Ducati technology. While the Hypermotard 939 and Hypermotard 939 SP versions faithfully maintain an essential Supermotard look, the Hyperstrada 939 seems less extreme and has specific features aimed at touring.

The new Hypermotard 939 family utilizes a 4-valve engine with a water-cooled cylinder, featuring a bore x stroke of 94 mm x 67.5 mm designed to achieve a perfect balance between usability and performance: this is the new 937 cc Testastretta 11° engine which provides maximum power of 113 hp @ 9,000 rpm and torque of 97.9 Nm @ 7,500 rpm.

This new engine uses technical solutions which directly reflect Ducati's engineering know-how and have led to the creation of an extremely fluid and stable engine: the 11° valve overlap confirms the excellent results obtained in the Multistrada 1200 family and optimizes the exhaust and intake stages with consequent steady operation at medium and low speeds. Targeted fuel injectors aim the jet of fuel directly at the hotter rear end of the intake valve so that all fuel is atomised; a secondary air system similar to that of the 1299 Panigale enables the engine's operation to be optimised thanks to the controlled flow of oxygen which reduces cyclical combustion dispersion, thus effectively eliminating unburnt fuel.

Ultimately, Ducati has managed to obtain a new engine that is extremely enjoyable, performs excellently and which can significantly limit emissions of unburnt fuel.

Multifunction digital dashboard with white backlight, composed of LCD segments for rev counter and a Dot-Matrix area for all other information: odometer (total, trip 1 and trip2), speedometer, clock, coolant temperature, selected riding mode, current fuel consumption, average fuel consumption, average speed, air temperature, trip time, maintenance intervals indicator (Km), errors detection (diagnosis), setup menu and customization functions. Interface for the management of Riding Modes (ABS, throttle response power, traction control). Lights: oil pressure, neutral N, fuel warning, turn signal, EOBD (diagnosis), high beam, DTC intervention (Traction Control) and deterrent immobilizer (in Key-Off). Headlight control: auto switching-off during engine start, auto turning-off after 60 seconds from Key-On without starting the engine, hazard lights. The key management of the various function menus are integrated in the left and right switch controls.
